Kim Richey is, by all standards, a gifted singer and songwriter who carries herself with the presence of the artist supreme. Her life has been one of singular commitment to song but without pretension or demand, only a desire to make music that matters, whether it matters to anyone else or not. She’s toured consistently both here and abroad, performed on late-night TV talk shows, lived in major music cities such as London, Nashville and Los Angeles, worked with the likes of Jason Isbell, Al Anderson (NRBQ), Pat Sansone (Wilco) and Chuck Prophet, had songs recorded by Radney Foster, Trisha Yearwood and Brooks & Dunn, plus won one Grammy and was nominated for another, just to name a few of the many accomplishments achieved by this profoundly-talented and hard-working artist. On top of all that, she’s also a really nice person who sounds inordinately cool while picking her guitar and singing her songs, wherever she may be.
