When last we saw state Rep. Sara Wojcicki Jimenez, R-Leland Grove, and Catie Sheehan on the same team (other than the Republican Party), they were enlightening us with news and other fantastic tales on WICS TV news, where both worked as reporters and anchors about 10 years back.

We fi gured that landing a gig wouldn’t be much trouble for Jimenez, who announced last year that she’s had her fi ll of the General Assembly (and who could blame her). She’s done it all, from pioneering the job of chief of staff for Diana Rauner, a position that hadn’t existed before, to serving as a trustee for the Springfi eld Park District. And sure enough, she’s off the unemployment line even before she got in it, thanks to HSHS Central Illinois Division hospitals, where she’ll start work in September as director of marketing and communications for the health care company that includes St. John’s Hospital. That’s a post once held by Sheehan, who got herself promoted last spring to an HSHS vice presidency. Besides once working together at WICS, Sheehan and Jimenez both also have been employed as spokeswomen for the Illinois state treasurer’s offi ce, Jimenez when Alexi Giannoulias held the offi ce for one term and Sheehan when Dan Rutherford took over for four years. What’s next, Jimenez joining Sheehan on the Sangamon County Board? No one should be surprised.
