Cody Canada has been playing guitar and dreaming music since he was 8 years old, and he shows no signs of stopping anytime soon as he heads into a quarter century of professional playing. The former frontman for the popular Red Dirt rockin’ country band Cross Canadian Ragweed keeps on putting out music from the studio and the road. Now, working as a strippeddown power trio with longtime bassist Jeremy Plato and drummer Eric Hansen, the guys have a new album aptly titled 3, done with famed producer, friend and fellow Red Dirt road traveler Mike McClure. Cody keeps up a full touring schedule while raising a family and being cool about it all. He’s a pretty special cat and does a righteous job balancing art and artist and life and living, all while making some spectacularly-vital and seriously-intense creative music that rocks and rolls with the best of them. Plus, he can tear it up on an electric guitar for some down-home jams with the band, just in case you were wondering. See also
