In 2016, Our Vibrant Community and genHkids teamed up to design a community garden mural to compliment the community garden located on the west side of the Gus and Flora Kerasotes YMCA. The community garden is made possible by genHkids and the Kerasotes YMCA, and the mural was made possible by the Springfield Area Arts Council community art access grant. On Sunday, June 10, from 2-4 p.m., celebrate the unveiling of this mural during an artsy garden party featuring a mural dedication, live music, snacks, rock painting, a garden costume contest and more. There is no charge to attend this event but donations will be accepted in support of the garden space.
