The Legacy of Giving Music Festival, a two-day charitable festival that donated more than $23,000 in proceeds to local charities in 2017, will once again offer Springfield the opportunity to enjoy more than 60 local, regional and national music acts spread out across five stages, as well as a vendors’ fair, children’s area, food and drinks for purchase, and much more. Other Legacy of Giving Festival-affiliated events include a bocce ball tournament on the grounds of the Old State Capitol on Friday, June 1; the Lincoln Legacy 5K and 10K, taking place at Oak Ridge Cemetery Friday, June 1; a bags tournament on Saturday, June 2; and two “Hungry Hungry Hippo” tournaments – one for children ages 13 and under at 1 p.m., and another for ages 13-16 at 3 p.m. Admission to the vendor fair is free, and admission to the music festival costs $5.
