In 1987, Garrow was the Pulitzer Prize recipient for his book titled Bearing the Cross, which details the life of Martin Luther King Jr. The Rising Star event will consist of a book signing at 6 p.m. followed by at 6:30 p.m. presentation in the ALPM’s Union Theater. Tickets cost $8 for the general public and $5 for ALPLM members. Reservations are strongly encouraged, as space will be limited.
