Springfield’s original Celtic fusion band has evolved more than a few times and ways since hitting the scene as Stone Ring Circle in the early 21st century. They’ve travelled many roads and they all lead to fine Irish-influenced music done with a rocking attitude and a rolling twist. Always in demand during the High Holy Days surrounding the March 17 St. Patrick’s Day celebration, this year marks the group’s 17th season of performing Celtic music for the community. Band mates Lori McKenzie (vocals, percussion), Bill McKenzie (bass, guitar, vocals), Joe Kath (fiddle, vocals), Chas Blythe (guitar, vocals), Nat Radwine (drums, percussion, vocals) and the newest member, Steve Meyers (guitar, bass, vocals), continue to develop the joy found in generations of Irish and Celtic sounds and deliver it to an appreciative public. Expect to hear rock songs gone Celtic and Celtic songs gone rock, folk songs hundreds of years old with modern interpretations, plus a jig and a reel or two, all colored with the hue of The Emerald Underground.
