Back in 2013, when Corey Wagar (vocals) and Tori Allen (fiddle, vocals) first got together, their fire burned for success in the music business. Soon GirlBilly came to be and was on the rise, creating a new take of country-pop music that takes a classic, swinging Texas fiddler and tosses that sound with a New Jersey hip-hop singer, joined by contemporary songs complete with distinctive harmonies. The combination is electric, receiving rave reviews from performances at clubs, fairs, festivals and even at those songwriter rounds famous in Nashville. January of 2018 will bring the long-awaited release of the GirlBilly EP, with expected intense promotion and extended touring. Next summer, along with regular gigs and tours plus a full band showcase at The Basement East in Nashville, the girls head to Hawaii for a week of playing time in June, then take off in August for a spot at the Badenfahrt Festival in Zurich, Switzerland. You go, GirlBilly! See also
