On Monday, Aug. 21, avoid the chaos and the crowds in southern Illinois and #GetMooned at Danenberger Family Vineyards during the Great American Solar Eclipse. During the eclipse, the moon will pass between the earth and the sun, blocking the sun from view. Although central Illinois is several hours north of the “path of totality,” attendees of Soleil Noir can still enjoy a stunning view of the eclipse paired with a full day of food, drinks and live music while staying close to home. The aptly-named “Black Sun Pass” costs $60 and includes a full day of live music from six bands (Rowdy Jones, Mike Burnett, Green Eggs and Jam, #Smashtag, Fun DMC and Broseph E. Lee), a hog roast and street tacos, two beverage tickets, a souvenir wine glass and special eclipse-viewing eyeglasses. Space will be limited, so advance tickets are required for this event. To purchase tickets and find more information about Soleil Noir, visit http:// danenbergerfamilyvineyards.com or call 488-6321
