On Saturday, Aug. 19, celebrate America’s pastime with an All-American Picnic. Hosted by the Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library and Museum, the all-ages event features an evening of baseball-themed crafts and activities, performances of Abbott and Costello’s celebrated comedy sketch “Who’s on First?”, opportunities for children to participate in dramatic readings of Ernest Thayer’s poem “Casey at the Bat,” old-school baseball demonstrations, an under-the-stars screening of the 1989 film Field of Dreams at 8 p.m. and food and drinks for purchase. The All-American Picnic is hosted in conjunction with the “Cubs vs. Cardinals: The Rivalry” exhibit at the Abraham Lincoln Presidential Museum through Dec. 31.
