This nationally renowned blues/roots musician is hitting the road as part of his “Fire and the Fury Tour” and preparing for the latest release of a new album that’s the follow-up to his acclaimed 2014 release, Durty Howlin’ Blues. The road trip included an appearance at the Tremblant International Blues Festival in Quebec last weekend, along with upcoming shows at Pop’s Place in Decatur Sunday and Buddy Guy’s Legends Tuesday in Chicago, with the Alamo gig, hosted by the Illinois Central Blues Club, sandwiched in between. Joel has been at this since he was 18, starting out as the frontman for legendary South Florida blues band The Hep Cat Boo Daddies. Now out on his own for awhile, Joel has been spotted on stages across the country, playing his special brand of blues with a diverse range of the best and brightest, including performances with B.B. King, Ray Charles, The Fabulous Thunderbirds, Reverend Horton Heat, The Smithereens, Edgar and Johnny Winter, Los Lobos, The White Stripes, Magic Slim & The Teardrops, The Black Crowes and Coco Montoya.
