A chamber music recital featuring The Brickhouse Brass and The Blackwater Strings will be taking place on Sunday, March 19, at 4 p.m., as part of the Lincoln Land Community College Recital Series. The Brickhouse Brass Ensemble consists of Wil Adams and Vince Camille on trumpet; Jan Arnold on horn; Jason Waddell (associate professor of music at LLCC) on euphonium and Tom Philbrick on tuba. The ensemble will be performing various songs including “I Ain’t Got Nobody,” “St. James Infi rmary” and Leonard Cohen’s “Hallelujah,” among others. The Blackwater Strings are Ashley Peterson Rescot on fi rst violin, Mary Gamble Lueking on second violin, Rachel Gamble Helton on viola and Chet Lord-Remmert on cello. They will perform Beethoven’s “String Quartet No. 1 in F Major, Opus 18, No. 1.” The recital will take place at the Trutter Center on the Springfi eld campus of Lincoln Land Community College, 5250 Shepherd Road. It is free and open to the public.
