Springfi eld-based fi lmmakers Dave Heinzel and Emma Wilson will premiere their new short fi lm, Sarah, at 8 p.m. this Saturday, March 4, at The Studio, located at 401 1/2 S. Grand Ave. West (due to demand, a second screening was added on March 11 – both screenings are sold out). Sarah stars Springfi eld High School senior Stella Cole as a 19-year-old girl coping with depression and the mundane environment of her small Midwestern hometown. The 20-minute fi lm was shot at several locations around Springfi eld during January and February of this year. It is the fi rst project for Heinzel and Wilson following their collaborative work on regionally popular web series “The Studio Show,” which focused on Springfi eld area arts and culture through a mix of interviews, short fi lms, musical performances and sketch comedy. The series concluded its two-season run in December. After screening at The Studio, Sarah will be submitted to fi lm festivals around the country.
