On Friday, Feb. 17, enjoy a musical adventure based off the popular book series by the late children’s author Barbara Parks. The Junie B. Jones book series was created for beginning readers and came to number 28 books in length. Today, the books have sold more than 55 million copies internationally and been translated into a dozen languages. Much like Ramona Quimby, Pippi Longstocking or Eloise, Junie B. Jones is an impish, outspoken perpetual six-year-old with an imperfect grasp on the English language who is a positive role model for children everywhere. In this familyfriendly show, Junie shares the expertise she has gathered during her school experience to illustrate that school can be sometimes be scary or fun, but always worthy of song and celebration. Don’t forget to arrive early for pre-show activities and crafts in the lobby, starting at 6 p.m. To purchase tickets to Junie B’s Essential Survival Guide to School, visit http:// sangamonauditorium.org or call 206-6160.
