Filled with years of experience of rocking bars all night long while playing in local bands such as Kicked to the Curb, Zack Fedor and the Backseat Drivers, Piston Broke, Porkpie and the Northend Allstars, Stone and Biscuit Band, Miss Conduct, The Mix and Pet Cemetery Road, Last Call’s band members come with well-earned and known nicknames including “Southside” Jonny Clausing (lead guitar, harmonica, violin, vocals), “Drum Junkie” Jeff Bechtel (drums, background vocals), Braxton Clark (keyboards) and Matt “The Beast” Lang (bass guitar). The guys came together as Last Call last summer to do area benefits and last minute shows, but are now are breaking into the Springfield scene proper with upcoming city gigs. Classifying themselves as “a classic rock/blues group with heavy emphasis on the blues” and justified by covering Stevie Ray Vaughn, Jimi Hendrix, the Beatles, Derek Trucks Band, Eric Clapton, Allman Brothers, Delbert McClinton, Sublime, Cream, Jonny Lang and Kenny Wayne Shepherd, expect to hear much more from this experienced, talented and hardworking group in the months ahead.
