With $300,000 in funds still needed to reach their goal, she is able to say with some confi dence that the health and science-focused childrens’ museum will open before the end of 2017. “It typically takes about four months to raise that amount, and we can begin construction once it’s been pledged.” She estimates construction would take between eight and nine months. In the meantime, those wanting a whiff of what Kidzeum will offer can take a trip to Town and Country Bank’s Wabash location, which will be hosting future Kidzeum exhibit “The Nose Knows” through the end of this year. The exhibit allows brave visitors to explore the all-important breathing organ via a model with nostrils large enough to fi t a human head. As the press release warned: “Watch out for the snot bubble.”
