BULLETIN BOARD | Understand computer security threats

On Tuesday, March 22, Lincoln Land Community College’s Capital City Training Center hosts a computer security and privacy protection seminar designed to help novice-to-expert users of technology understand potential cybersecurity issues. Presenter Darrell Fortae, owner of Everlast Software LLC, will share advice and steps that can be taken to protect computers, mobile devices, information, identity and more. Some of the topics Darrell will discuss in detail include malware such as viruses, Trojan horses and worms; Internet browsing; network, password and storage encryption; mobile devices; identity theft; Facebook; backups; Wi-Fi and wireless security and much more.
