FILM | Recording of a reenactment

Lincoln’s Funeral, a film that captures the sights, sounds and experiences of the 150th Anniversary of the Lincoln Funeral Procession, will make its world premiere on Friday, Feb. 26 in with two showings at the Lincoln Home Visitors Center in Springfield. The movie was filmed during 2015’s three-day reenactment of Lincoln’s Funeral from Friday, May 1 through Sunday, May 3, 2015, by 40 Central Illinois Film Commission videographers bearing high-definition cameras. At 7:30 p.m. and 9 p.m. this Friday, the 49-minute DVD will be shown to the public free of charge. Seating is available on a first-come, first served basis. The DVD will be available for purchase during the event for $24.95.
