BAND SPOTLIGHT | Lyman Ellerman Riverton native and current Nashville resident, songwriter, guitarist, vocalist and performer, Lyman Ellerman is a man of many musical talents. The good news for us is that he keeps refining and defining said talents through a lifetime of music making. His most recent project, Something Better, is now out on CD and his song “Drink Your Wine” made it into the indie film Last Call at Murray’s, released last fall. Local musician Bill McKenzie joins Lyman on acoustic guitar during the hometown visit. At the meet-n-greet Ellerman will loan his George McCorkle Signature Les Paul-style Copley guitar (number two of 100 made and called “Honey” by George) to the Riverton Party Store for display. He shares the Capital City Theater stage with fellow singer-songwriter Ward Davis, a successful Nashville writer from East Arkansas with cuts by Trace Adkins, Willie Nelson, Merle Haggard, Wade Hayes, Sammy Kershaw and many others. Ward released a new record, 15 Years in a 10 Year Town, last year, featuring guest vocals by Willie Nelson and Jamey Johnson.
