Considered by many as one of our area’s music-making treasures, Jaigh Lowder and Jill Manning play original songs at an exceptional level of composition and performance. Jaigh’s guitar prowess is nothing short of masterful and Jill’s voice reaches into your chest and touches the heart. That combined with a keen sense of the human spirit in the lyrics makes these two such well-respected and revered artists. Jaigh put his years of recording experience to good use in 2014 to create the duo’s full-length CD, Next Time Around, acknowledged by Dave Leonatti, longtime DJ of “Nightsounds” on WUIS, as one of his top ten picks for the year. They’ve been featured as bumper music on “Coast to Coast AM” with George Noory, picked from an international search for emerging artists. Catch them New Year’s Eve at First Night Springfield and later at the Barrel Head, then Hill Prairie Winery on Jan. 3, then back to It’s All About Wine on Jan. 9 and on like that for years to come.
