BAND SPOTLIGHT | Hospital Job Yes, there is a punk band from Springfield called Hospital Job. Yes, they’ve toured the U.S. twice and western Europe. Yes, they have plans in the works for a 2016 East Coast tour and dates at regional and national punk music festivals. Yes, they’ve released two full LP/CDs with the third (Never Get Cold) scheduled for local, in-your-hands release this Friday at the Black Sheep show and on record labels It’s Alive and Rad Girlfriend Records for national distribution. And yes, the album was recorded in town at Capitol City Studios and produced, mixed and mastered by chief singer and songwriter Luke McNeill (guitar, vocals) joined by bandmates Tim Reynolds (guitar, vocals), Fred Malcom (drums) and Benny DeWitt (bass). Other than that, nothing is known of these mysterious yet marvelous musicians who come from our hometown and travel the world as we know it, playing music for all who will listen (and some who don’t.)
