MUSIC: GENERAL EVENTS | A spooky, sensory performance This Halloween, experience a spooky, sensory concert performed by Christopher Holman on the First Presbyterian Church’s Brombaugh Pipe Organ. Musical selections include “Toccata in D-Minor” by J.S. Bach, pieces by composers Dieterich Buxtehude, César Franck and more. Other musical guests include a string ensemble and organist from the Illinois Symphony. Dramatic lighting and interpretative movement and dance will compliment and enhance the concert, courtesy of lighting artist Stephen Tankersly and choreographer Elizabeth Cheney. The combination of sound, light, interpretative movement and ethereal costuming will evoke for audience members a spooky, sensory experience that celebrates the triumph of good over evil. Audience members are invited to participate in the experience by dressing in all black, all white or in Halloween costume.
