The Terror on the Square scare squad takes haunting to a whole new level in this year’s Terror in the Graveyard event. The veteran crew has manned the popular Terror on the Square haunted house for the past 22 years but switched locations in 2014 from a 1930s funeral home located on the square in downtown Petersburg to a spooky outdoor trail and graveyard at the Menard County Fairgrounds. Stroll down a 600-foot trail and through an abandoned graveyard to experience horrifying scares and see elaborated graveyard-related sets, ghost illusions, realistic special effects, creepy details and more. Concessions and souvenir items will be available for purchase on-site. Appropriate footwear and attire are strongly suggested for this outdoor event.
