BAND SPOTLIGHT | Anni Piper

This bass-playing, award-winning, world-traveling blues vocalist recently relocated from her native Australia to Cocoa Beach, Florida, all the while continuing her scorching career in the world of blues music. Anni dropped her first album in 2004, garnering a Best New Talent nod from the Australian Blues Music Awards in the process. Continuing on a trajectory of blues acclaim, she picked up a Best Female Vocalist nomination for her 2014 release. Now that the “Saucy Aussie” is based in the U.S., she’s hitting America’s big blues market with solid touring, including a cross country summer tour from Florida to Colorado and all points in between. Earlier this week she performed at Coz’s Pizza then, after a few turns around the Midwest, she’s back for an Illinois Central Blues Club Blue Monday Jam session, before heading out west. Expect a new solo album out very soon to coincide with upcoming nuptials for the sultry blues singer and vibrant bassist from down under.
