 FILMS | Noteworthy independent films Temple B’rith Sholom and the Jewish Federation host the Second Annual Film Series every Sunday at 4 p.m., throughout the month of June. The goal of the series is to show award-winning films from around the world, none of which are religious. The series kicks off this Sunday, June 7, with a showing of Deli Man, the 2014 American film by Erik Greenberg Anjou. The film is a documentary depicting the iconic delicatessens of America, such as Katz’s, Second Avenue Deli, Nate ’n’ Al, Carnegie Deli and Stage Deli. Other film offerings in the festival will include Mr. Kaplan, No Place on Earth and The Art Dealer. The films are open to all in the community. Admission is $7 for adults, $5 for students with ID.
