ART | Internationally acclaimed artist alert On Friday, Feb. 6, from 6-8:30 p.m., DEMO Project hosts a reception to celebrate the opening of O White Gods, a contemporary art exhibition by visual artist Travis Shaffer. The Missouribased artist’s most recent exhibition speaks to the process of finding and creating art objects, and leveraging meaning onto said objects via “encountered implications and theories of the color white.” Shaffer is an accomplished artist whose mediums primarily include photography, digital imaging and books. His work has been displayed internationally at the Museum Brandhorst in Munich, Gagosian Gallery in New York City, Arts Santa Monica in Barcelona plus many other famed venues and exhibition halls. O White Gods will be available for viewing on Saturday afternoons Feb. 6-28 from 1-4 p.m., or by appointment. Questions about this exhibition or the DEMO Project can be sent to [email protected].
