CHILDREN’S CORNER | “…and a happy zoo year!” Children ages 5-12 are invited to enjoy a New Year’s Eve celebration that won’t keep them up past their bedtime but still involves a countdown until 12. Noon Year’s Eve is an annual New Year’s Eve party hosted by the good folks at the Henson Robinson Zoo. This year’s party will be held Dec. 31 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., and includes a light meal, crafts, games, activities plus a countdown until the “noon year.” Zoo staff will be on hand to supervise children’s visit with select zoo animals and help them make conservation-friendly New Year’s resolutions. Reservations are required to attend this drop-off celebration and can be made by calling the zoo at 585-1821. See also
