Springfield celebrities will pair with local dancers to razzle and dazzle guests in the Hilton’s Grand Ballroom on Saturday, Nov. 8, during the Prairie Art Alliance’s annual Dancing with the Starz competition. This popular fundraiser, now in its ninth year, is loosely based on the hit television show by a similar name. This year’s dancing starz include: Gerry Dalano, Rev. Hannah Dreitcer, Dave Drennan, Kelly Greeley, Karen Hasara and Matt Schwartz, Rod and Kelly Lane, Hanfu Mi, Marc Passoni and Jenny Campbell, and Nadine Tran. Celebrity judges Dennis Bringuet, Rachel Thomson and Bruce Rushton will provide entertainment and commentary on the performances. Chris Murphy will emcee. Winners are determined by the audience via pre-voting online and the purchase of “Starz Bucks” at the event. A plated dinner, silent auction, cash bar and open dancing will round out the night’s festivities.
