BAND SPOTLIGHT | Icon for Hire Originally from Decatur, our neighbor city to the east, this ambitious and inventive combo creates pop-punk, near-rap, electronic-alternative rock music that reaches into the collective consciousness of American contemporary sounds. Calling this the Hometown Show on their Rock ‘N’ Roll Thugs tour, singer Ariel, guitarist Shawn Jump, bassist Josh Kincheloe (not always mentioned as part of the group) and drummer Adam Kronshagen are set to keep the rock ball rolling and head off for a European tour in November. After forming in 2007, the band gigged all the time, putting out a couple of self-produced EP’s. By 2011, they had caught the attention of prominent indie label Tooth & Nail, signing on and releasing two Billboard charting records. The latest eponymously titled CD did well on rock, Christian and indie charts, giving the group quite a boost in the jam-packed field of modern music. Now up to nearly 175,000 likes on Facebook, touring on an international level and charting in major markets, the group continues to rise toward success. See also
