Commemorating the 150th anniversary of Lincoln’s Gettysburg Address, the Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library and Museum is presenting a weeklong celebration including special displays, videos, readings, films and more. It all kicks off Nov. 17 and you can view the actual Gettysburg Address all week. On Nov. 18, the public is invited to a nightlong vigil with the Address on display from 7 p.m. to midnight for free public viewing. Nov. 19, there will be a book signing in the museum store with author Michael Burlingame and photographer Robert Shaw for their new book, A Day Long to be Remembered: Lincoln in Gettysburg. Sunday, Nov. 24 at 3 p.m., the documentary The Gettysburg Story will be screened for free and filmmaker Jake Boritt will be on hand to answer questions from the audience. Also, on Nov. 19, 7-9 p.m. at Brookens Auditorium, UIS, the Center for State Policy and Leadership presents a free forum, “Lincoln and the Gettysburg Address,” with Dr. Martin P.
