Springfield Art Association celebrates its 25th year of the Edwards Place Fine Art Fair, Sept. 21-22, on the grounds of SAA. They hope you’ll join them this year during these milestones in their existence – SAA also turned 100. More than 70 artists will show and sell their wares. Springfield Clinic Pediatrics Team has once again sponsored a hands-on craft in the children’s area and the interactive experience continues with a life-size “Jenga” game and community sculpture project. The music couldn’t be better: Samba Llamas, Ben Bedford, Tom Irwin, Mike Burnett and groups from the Hoogland Center for the Arts and Sacred Heart-Griffin School. Also in the mix of fun: Demos, tours, Gallery of Art exhibit “Hidden in Plain Sight: The Material Life of Early Springfield,” used book and art supply sale and more.
