  BAND SPOTLIGHT | Last Chance A local private space since 1991, the Last Chance Bar and Lab hosted several outstanding musicians and concerts through the years, while also being a band practice place. The Last Chance Blues Band, a popular, area blues combo and another group, Touch of Grey, originated from the celebrated club/rehearsal spot to play on the town. Last Chance is the latest group from the friendly and fertile Bar and Lab, and includes Last Chance Blues Band founding members Peter Glatz (harmonica), Ed Selinger (drums), Ed Eden (bass) and Gary Halford (rhythm guitar), along with Rick Hardin (vocals), Rod VanSandt (lead guitar), Joe Mucciante (sax, flute) and Larry Harness (percussion). Nearly every Tuesday night for decades the guys met to play songs by favorite artists such as the Beatles, Clapton, Hendrix, Traveling Wilburys, the Who, the Guess Who, John Hiatt, Rolling Stones and Tommy Castro. Glatz says, “These are the songs we love to play, and I think the audience will enjoy the music as much as we do.” And why wouldn’t they? See also
