The Central Illinois Horse Rescue organization needs a new barn. The Animal Protective League would like to have cat food, Karo syrup and baby washcloths. Kumler Outreach Ministries needs a pickup truck. Beginning this week on page 15, and for each week leading up to Christmas, we’re publishing “community wish lists” of local nonprofi t organizations, and more wish lists are at illinoistimes.com. Throughout the year, these groups do wonderful helping work to support worthy causes. Now’s a good time to get yourself into the spirit of giving by providing an item or two from their wish lists, by donating cash or by volunteering your time.
