Ace celebrated its 55th year in business this year, and at the rate they’re going, this place will be in business for another half-century at least. The shop has bikes for every niche – road racing, touring, triathlon, just tooling around town – but it is especially known for its selection of BMX gear. Readers rave about the service and the lack of snobbery. One voter praised the shop for custom ordering a bicycle for a special-needs child with no purchase obligation.
