Kevin Purcell directs and stars, along side local acting sensation Aasne Vigesaa, in Prairie Voices, a performance of poems and songs that celebrate the beauty of the Illinois prairie. Poems by Edgar Lee Masters, Vachel Lindsay and Carl Sandburg are featured, along with music accompaniment by Deb Watts. Lincoln and Shakespeare is a theater piece, created and directed by Kevin Purcell that combines Lincolns’ words with scenes from several Shakespeare plays. The cast includes Aasne Vigesaa, Tom Lawton, Linda Schneider, Jonah Walker, August Roy, Joey Cruse and Fritz Klein. Don’t miss the 7:15 p.m. free pre-show.
