BAND SPOTLIGHT | Kelli Scarr Raised in Folsom, Calif., Kelli Scarr made her way to music school in Boston and eventually arrived in Brooklyn, N.Y. After 10 years of bands and music making, including an Emmy nomination for a film score, Scarr landed an opening solo slot on the musician Moby’s world tour. She has since done vocals on his album Wait for Me and collaborated with him on NPR’s “Project Song.” Scarr teamed up with producer Joe Rogers and the Brooklyn-based band Wolf! on her latest CD, Dangling Teeth. Recorded at the Isokon in Woodstock, N.Y., by D. James Goodwin and featuring the guitar work of Scott Metzger, the album was released June 5 on Silence Breaks. Wolf! drummer Taylor Floreth has family in Jacksonville and brought the Dangling Teeth tour here as Scarr, Floreth, Andrew Southern (bass) and Jon LaDeau (guitar) play shows the rest of the summer in the Midwest, California, Texas and all parts between. Tom Irwin performs with the Taylor Floreth Happening after the show. See also
