Aug. 6, 1964 – Dec. 10, 2010

Daniel Bruce Brinkley of Springfield was the father of two beautiful daughters, Shawnda Brinkley, 20, and Shyanne Brinkley, 5. He was a loving husband to wife Roxanne (Dunham) Brinkley. Daniel married my Aunt Roxie.

He met his wife thought his best friend and sister-in-law, Rhonda Bixler (Dunham). Growing up, he was always known to be around his friends, family and neighbors. He loved to help others but always made sure his family had what was needed for a living. As all his nieces and nephews remember, he had many different jobs, as did his wife as well.

Both of Daniel’s parents passed away of cancer. Daniel was diagnosed shortly after his mother passed away. Although he had learned he had cancer he continued to love life and not let anyone get in his way of living it. As time went on and he grew sicker and sicker, he always managed to keep a smile, no matter how stressful life was getting for him. He had the best sense of humor, always knowing how to keep his family and friends happy. He loved to go fishing with his friends and family to ease his mind and keep things from getting to him. Through all the pain he always had a funny joke to crack, was always full of joy and wore a smile. Daniel left behind many great people who miss him more than ever each day. We all miss you and love you very much, Uncle Danny. May you fish the great waters and race the tracks above.
