Decorations were provided by staff and volunteers of Illinois museums and historic sites, including: Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library and Museum, Dana-Thomas House, Old State Capitol, Vachel Lindsay Home, Elijah Iles House, Lincoln Home, Springfield Art Association Edwards Place, Pasfield House, Lincoln’s New Salem, David Davis Mansion, Governor Duncan Mansion, Quincy Museum, Cahokia Mounds, Carl Sandburg State Historic Site and more. Some of the dried materials used to decorate the trees came from the mansion’s gardens.
