The Metal Gods, aka, Judas Priest, rise from the dread to rush Springfield’s Prairie Capital Convention Center on Nov. 9. The Priest’s worldwide, end-of-the-band Epitaph Tour and farewell excursion is on the sabbath of their compilation album, The Chosen Few, with tracks selected by other heavy metal deities such as Ozzy Osbourne and Dee Snider. Headbangers will never forget Rob Halford’s King Midas voice or the legendary British band’s hit favorites, “You’ve Got Another Thing Coming,” “Living After Midnight” and “Breaking The Law.” The band was ranked by VHI in 2010 as the 78th greatest artist of all time, by MTV as the second greatest metal band, and won a 2010 Grammy Award for Best Metal Performance of “Dissident Aggressor.” Judas Priest rocks in peace on the stage with guests Black Label Society and Thin Lizzy.
