THEATER | Big and beautiful
Set in the 1960s, the funny and upbeat musical Hairspray is the next Muni production in the outdoor amphitheater. With big hair, a big body and a large personality, teen Tracy Turnblad lands a spot as a dancer on her favorite television show by the graces of great dancing. She rises to stardom, tackles racially integrating the show, and tries to win over its male heart throb. Tracy is played by Aimee Jarzembowski. Craig Williams directs. Buy and reserve tickets or find a seating chart at www.themuni.org. Tickets can also be purchased by cash or check the night of the performance at the onsite box office starting at 7 p.m. See also
