It
One-of-the-most savored festivals held in Springfield, Taste of
Downtown on July 8 and 9 offers delectable morsels from more than 20
downtown restaurants. And Springfield has some great ones: Try
a falafel sandwich from Holy Land Diner, homemade potato chips from
Maldaner’s, cedar salmon with fennel chutney from Augie’s Front Burner,
BBQ pork horseshoe with pepper jack cheese from Caitie Girl’s, chicken
taco from Café Bio and so much more. Food and beverage tickets are $1
each. Menu items take one to six tickets. The Miller Lite American Music
Show sizzles with four shows on Friday night including the Detroit
Cobras at 9 p.m. featuring singer Rachel Nagy and guitarist Mary
Ramirez. Saturday, starting at 3 p.m., hear three local bands, then
three out-of-state bands, including Elizabeth Cook from Nashville at
8:15 p.m. Kids activities and entertainment rock the festival Saturday
