BAND SPOTLIGHT | Ben Bedford

In the last five years Ben Bedford went from being a guy playing open mics around town to a nationally known and highly respected folk singer of original music. He did it the old-fashioned way, by writing good songs, performing well and working hard to promote his music to the world outside of Springfield. His first national release, Lincoln’s Man received high praise from some of the most respected names in folk music presentation and garnered top spots in the Folk DJ charts plus hit the European folk charts. His second CD, Land of the Shadows, did even better and propelled him into the status of one of the top new names in the folk world of music entertainment.

Kari Bedford accompanies her husband on harmony vocals and occasionally takes the lead on a tune and also shoots those great photos and keeps the website up and running. Together they have a terrific bunch of shows lined up for 2011 all across the country with a few in the capital city.
