Locally coordinated PechaKucha Night will consist of nine creative Springfieldians each giving a six minute and 40 second (20 slides, 20 seconds each) presentation. Pecha Kucha (pronounced pe CHAK cha and based on the sound of chit chat in Japanese) was a presentation format two architects devised in Japan in 2003. You won't want to miss this informal and fun gathering featuring: David Cain - Sensory Continuum; Melanie Dineen - CAKE!; Bruce Ferry - Why it Looks That Way; Tom Schwartz - Abraham Lincoln: From Silver Screen to Flat Screen; Amy Walters - Plan Bee: Why Bees Matter; Frank Trompeter - It's Just a Thing, Tanya Jean, the Hipster Prose of Kurt Elling; Mike Jackson - Old is the New Green Building; Michael Mayosky - ARTPRIZE 2010; and Lisa Kasa - What a Sweet Job.
