Springfield resident Glenn Yanow was named the 2009 Baskin-Robbins Franchisee of the Year, honoring him as top role model for the company. Yanow was recognized at the fourth annual Dunkin’ Brands Franchisee and Enterprise Awards on March 24 in New Orleans. Yanow is an active member of the MacArthur Boulevard Business Association and belongs to the Greater Springfield Chamber of Commerce. He and his employees have supported a variety of charitable fundraising efforts, including the Animal Protective League and United Cerebral Palsy. “I’m extremely proud to represent Baskin-Robbins both as a neighborhood ice cream store and as a worldwide brand,” Yanow says. In addition to his local store operations, he has served on the Baskin- Robbins Brand Advisory Council since 1994, and is also a member of the company’s Cake Advisory and Profitability Committees. “Glenn has been a dedicated Baskin- Robbins franchisee for almost four decades, and his commitment to — and pride in — his business, his community and the Baskin-Robbins brand shows through in all that he does,” says Nigel Travis, chief executive officer of Dunkin’ Brands, Inc.
