Loyola College Prep seniors will model the latest fashions.

Students to model fashions from local clothiers

Snoopy Goes Abroad with the 2025 senior class of Loyola College Prep’s 71st annual Style Show and Luncheon.

Students will be modeling outfits from local clothiers on Wednesday, Nov. 13, at the Bossier Civic Center. Doors open at 11 a.m., and the show starts at 11:30 a.m. Lunch is provided by Silver Star and Buttercups.

The Loyola Style Show, sponsored by the Loyola Parents’ Association, is chaired by Mandy May, Crystal Lauve and Susanna Van Norman. There are 25 committee members who spend hundreds of hours working on the event for a solid year. “We glitter our hearts out,” said May, adding that 82 pounds are used. May is in her sixth year being involved with the show.

The event is a rite of passage for graduating seniors and a time-honored tradition.

During the show, Loyola seniors will take the stage in groups, modeling outfits from Paper Tulip, Jac, John Pickens, L.E. & Chalk, Simply Chic, Sportspectrum, Dillard’s, Squire’s, Isadora, Pretenses, M. and Chateau en Mae. “It takes the whole community,” May said. There is even a choreographer for the musical numbers that correlate with the places represented, including Asia, England, France, Latin America, Greece and Italy.

A focal point will be a huge globe as a chandelier.

In addition, there is a Senior Walk spotlighting the 87 future graduates with clips on a screen from their lives and travels. Seniors join their parents and/or grandparents, who were graduates of St. John’s, Jesuit, Loyola, Notre Dame and St. Vincent Academy, for a special stroll.

Snoopy is prevalent in the decorations. Loyola is the only school in the country that has the right to use him as a mascot, May said. The designs are stored and repurposed for homecoming, prom and casino night.

General admission is $53. Tickets at the door are $56. All monies go right back to the school for teacher needs, equipment and facilities.

The show lasts an hour and 15 minutes.

“We have it down to a science,” May said. “This is a great event and a wonderful way to support Loyola and the community.”
