The LSU Health Sciences Foundation returned with its annual fundraising gala, An Evening for Healers, on Sept. 12. The event celebrates the Shreveport-Bossier community’s first responders, physicians, allied health professionals and other health care providers who played a vital role in saving the lives of patients at Ochsner LSU Health Shreveport, North Louisiana’s only Level 1 Trauma Center, while raising mission-critical funding for LSU Health Shreveport. — Mark Crawford

Holy Angels hosted their annual fundraiser, TASTE, in a new location this year at the Shreveport Convention Center on Sept. 26. More than 40 food and beverage vendors provided samples of eats and drinks.
