•Taglavore Awards

The work of 318 Forum writer Tony Taglavore was recently recognized in the Louisiana Sports Writers Association’s annual awards contest.

A feature story Taglavore wrote on Shreveport’s Dave and Colin Evans — the father and son who climbed Mt. Kilimanjaro — won Second Place in the General Sports category.

Taglavore was also honored for his broadcast work. For the second consecutive year, he and Jimmy Martin won First Place for the “Best Live Broadcast Team.” Taglavore (play-by-play) and Martin (analyst)are the radio voices of Captain Shreve High School football.

• Vintage Realty Company

Zack Flash began working with Vintage Homes by Vintage Construction Group in 2021 as client success manager to assist throughout the home building journey. In the summer of 2022, he assumed an additional role with Vintage Realty corporate office as a business development coordinator. His goal is to ensure customer satisfaction at each touchpoint for these two companies.

• CTFA Announcement for Anna Priestley

Anna Brown Priestley recently earned the Certified Trust & Fiduciary Advisor (CTFA) professional certification from the American Bankers Association (ABA). The CTFA certification is awarded to individuals who demonstrate excellence in wealth management and trust. To qualify for the CTFA certification, individuals must have certain levels of experience and education in the trust profession, pass an exam, and agree to abide by a code of ethics. Anna is in her fifth year as a vice president and trust advisor with Regions Private Wealth Management. In addition to her latest CTFA certification, Anna received her Juris Doctorate from the Paul M. Hebert Law Center at Louisiana State University.

• Gallagher Joins Hematology/Oncology Associates

Kevin Gallagher, MD, has joined Hematology/Oncology Associates, located at Willis-Knighton Cancer Center in Shreveport. He is board-certified in internal medicine, hematology and oncology by the American Board of Internal Medicine.

As a hematologist/medical oncologist, Dr. Gallagher specializes in treating blood disorders such as anemia and rare bone marrow diseases and cancers such as lung, liver, stomach, pancreas, kidney, bladder and prostate, among others.

A Shreveport native, Dr. Gallagher received a bachelor’s degree in biological sciences at LSU in Baton Rouge before returning to Shreveport, where he earned his medical degree from LSU Health Sciences Center- Shreveport School of Medicine. He completed his residency in internal medicine at LSU Health Shreveport, as well as a hematology/oncology fellowship where he served as chief fellow.

He has co-authored many published articles and presented research at national and international cancer meetings.

Hematology/Oncology Associates is part of the Willis-Knighton Physician Network.

Dr. Gallagher and his partners welcome new patients and accept most insurance plans.
