After a two-year hiatus, The Cotillion Club hosted its 73rd annual ball on Friday, April 8, at Municipal Auditorium. This year, there was a whimsical circus theme, and the presentation included jugglers and acrobats along with the Cotillion royalty. In keeping with the circus theme, guests dined on hot dogs, flavored popcorn and cotton candy, catfish and crepes for dessert.

Festival Plaza played host to the Cork Wine Festival on Saturday, April 2, in downtown Shreveport. More than 100 different wines were poured to the sold-out crowd of 1,350. There were also 10 local restaurants handing out delicious food samples, including Dillas Quesadillas, RNL Cookery Corner, Smallcakes Shreveport and Port City BBQ. All money raised at Cork directly supports the Red River Revel.
