JOINT REPLACEMENT CAMP Designed for those who are considering or who have scheduled total hip or total knee replacement surgery. The Willis-Knighton Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Institute offers participants insight into the joint replacement process, from pre-admission planning to surgery, follow-up and rehabilitation. General Cancer Support Group Tuesdays and Thursdays, Noon 2nd Floor Conference Room This support group helps patients and their loved ones discuss the emotional challenges and other concerns often faced by patients with cancer.

Woman to Woman: Cancer Follow-up: What Comes Next?? Wednesday, Jan. 18, Noon 2nd Floor Conference Room An educational program to give female cancer patients information on issues unique to their treatments and side effects. Patients will also have the opportunity to discuss their concerns with different healthcare providers.

Look Good, Feel Better Monday, Feb. 6, 11:30 a.m. 4th Floor Conference Room This two-hour, hands-on workshop includes a 12-step skin care/make-up application lesson, demonstration of options for dealing with hair loss and nail techniques. Patients also use and take home complimentary cosmetic kits in their appropriate skin tones with helpful instruction booklets.

Coping With…Cancer: Chemo Brain Wednesday, Feb. 1, Noon 2nd Floor Conference Room This workshop will help patients and their caregivers find new ways to cope with cancer.

Painting for a Cure Friday, Jan. 27, 10 a.m. 2nd Floor Conference Room Patients are provided free painting instruction in a fun atmosphere. Friends and family may register for $25.

Heart to Heart – Women’s Cardiovascular Support Group A monthly group discussion of topics related to women with heart disease.
