On Nov. 29 a stretch of Milam Street was blocked off in front of the former Selber Bros. Department Store in downtown Shreveport. It is now the home of Venyu, a provider of cloud, datacenter and data protection services. In keeping with the original glory of the building, the windows display a range of fashion and home furnishings – for decoration only.
Josh Descant, president, introduced speakers Mayor Ollie Tyler, Liz Swaine and Mario Chavez before inviting guests to tour the facility and partake of dinner and wine catered by Silver Star Smokehouse.
